BETHESDA, Md, November 26— Telling police that he had been beaten by companions with whom he had taken an automobile ride, James M. Miss Margaret Ferguson, 22, Succumbs After Heart Operation. Miss Margaret Ferguson, 22, daugh- ter of Federal Trade Commissioner Garland S. Ferguson, jr, died in a Cleveland hospital at 4:45 o'clock this mornipg as a result of a heart opera- tion yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson took their daughter to Cleveland two weeks ago heart specialist there. A few days ago he decided to operate and the opera- tion was performed yesterday morning. Followed Pneumonia Attack. Miss Ferguson’s condition became transfusion, her father giving the blood. The heart trouble followed a severe attack of pneumonia about a year and a half ago rmm which she never completely recovered. The family lived at 1624 Eighteenth street, but was originally from Greens- boro, N. C., coming her four years ago, when Mr. Ferguson was appointed to the Federal Trade Commission. Was G. W. U. Senior. ‘When stricken with pneumonia s year and a half ago, Miss Ferguson was in her senior year at George Wash- ington University. She previously had attended Agnes Scott College, Decatur, Ga., for two years. Besides her parents, Miss Ferguson is survived by a sister, Miss Sallie Fergu- son, 20, and a brother, Garland S. Fer- guson, 3d, 15. Burial will be in Rock Creek Ceme- tery here, but details of the funeral have not yet been arranged. LAKE LEVEL DROPS Water in Nevada Body Loses 55 Feet in 60 Years.
