This action came after the commis- sioners had considered the request of Oliver Owen Kuhn and Maj. E. Brooke Lee, members of tHe Parkway Commis- sion appointed by Gov. Ritchie and who live in Montgomery County. Bridge at Great Falls. The plans of the Parkway Commis- sion call for the creation of a great Federal park extending from Mount Vernon to the Great Falls of the Poto- mac. Included in the plans are many proposed roads, boulevards, drives and recreational facilities in Montgomery | County, and are expected to include at an early date a bridge across the Potomac River at or near Great Falls, to be built by the Federal Government. The entire cost of the purchase of | the land bordering the Potomac for the parkway project and its improvements will come from contributions to be raised throughout the Nation by the commission or by congressional appro- priations.
