Here are some of the people who sold realty in 1931 and made ‘money as & vesult: Soren Jacobsen of Salt Lake City urchued a six-room brick home for IOOOO April. He sold the house to John Hooker, traveling salesman, for $6,500 in May., On July 12. 1932, in St. Louis, Mo, A. J. Donnelly purchased lot 1 in block 31 of the Unniversity Park subdivision. Mr. Donnelly paid®$9,855 for this lot on a monthly payment plan and re- ceived his deed October 2, 1925. He £old the proyerty to the Lubrite Re- fining Co. this Summer for $30,000. Investment Nearly Doubled. Miss Alice M. Ki of Boston, Mass., bought lot 66 in e Commonweall avenue develovment at Newton Center, Mass,, for $1,800 in November, 19325. Miss Kln‘, on February 3, resold her lot to Harry Richal for $3, 000. Columbus, Ohio, had, in 1931, what is said to be the largest individual real estate deal transacted for many years, involving $1,750,000. This transaction involved the exchange of the southeast corner of Sixth and Broad streets for the 16-story office building at 8 East Broad street. Projects are under way for the erection of $500,000 in provements. John Boswell of Tuckahoe, N. Y., had a second mortgage of $5,200 and H. J. im- Bradshaw had two plots of land. ur Bradshaw sold part of his land $5,200 to Mr. Boswell and took hu:k Boswell's second mortgage. Boswell 0. | profited, because he sold a long-term second mortgage for less than he could discount it and obtained $1,000 cash for working capital.
