Fraudulent Sale Charged. ‘The indictment charges the defend- | ants, through the company, which was organized in 1904 under the laws of Maine, with selling securiiies througi | offices in Chicago, Bostcn, New York | and other cities 1o the public by fraudu- lent misrepresentation. The securities thus sold are repre- | gented in the indictment to include bonds on .34 buildirgs and- preferred | stock and debentures in the compary in_sums in excess of $56.000,000. Buildings specifically mentioned in | the indictments are located in scven | citles—Chicago, Detroit, New York, St. Louis, Philadelphia. Palm Beach, Fla., | and Mamaroneck, N. Y. The Chicago buildings are the Al- blon Shore Hotel, Churchill, 20 East Cedar Street Apartment, Engineering Building, Garden Coclrt Apartments, Graemere Hotel, Harbor View Apart- ments, Jackson Towers, Lincoln-Robey , Martinique, Ontario Mercan. Building, Sherwin and Sunny Apartments. The total issue of thereon is listed as $13,085,000. . The Detroit buildings are the Barton ts, Cadilaqua Apartments, Plaza, .Miles Building. New , Orville Court Apartments and Park Apargments, the bond dssue for which totaled $5,205,000.
