H, after a wedding trip to the Pacific Coast. Mrs. Parker was before her marriage, May 27, in Washington, Mrs. Eunice B. Mars of this city and Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Parker were feted by the inhabitants of Merrimack, who gave a reception in the Town Hall Friday_evening, the guests numbering about 300 and including officials of the town and county. Mrs. Edward L. Reed, wife of the first secretary of the United States embassy in Havana, Cuba, will arrive in this country today and will go to Saranac Lake, N. Y., to visit her grandmother, Mrs. W. S. Abert, who also has with her Mrs. Reed’s mother and sister, Mrs. J. Abert Story and Miss Jacquelin Story of Washington. Mrs. Reed was before her marriage Miss Caroline Story. Mrs. Herbert Shipman was hostess at luncheon yesterday at Sea View ‘Terrace, the Summer home of her father, Mr. Edson Bradley, at Newport, her guests being officers of the Swedish training ship now in the Newport Harbor. Mrs, Prederick Kniepp of Montclair, N. J. has gone to West Hampton, long Island, for several weeks' stay.
