‘Enterprise Union met March 13 at the home of Mrs. Anna May Ellis, vice president, who presided. Mrs. Frances Yeatman told of the work being done by the North Star Union and Mrs. Ellis spoke about the Northwest Union. Mrs. E. L. Eaton, president of the Chevy Chase Union, told some of her experi- ences in Florida recently. Mrs. ‘Eaton invited the members of Enterprise Union to the meeting of the Chevy Chase Union March 25, at which time Dr. Margaret Scott, international peace director of the W. C. T. U. will speak. Enterprise Union has also been invited to attend the Florence M. Brown class of Calvary Baptist Church March 29, which is Temperance Sunday. Two new members, Mrs. Georgetta Sanders and Mrs. Marguerite Sauer, were welcomed into the union. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Ethel Ralon, 3723 Kansas avenue, April 10 at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Izora Scott, superintendent of peace and arbitration of the World W. C. T. U. aad national legislative repre- sentative, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Chevy Chase Union next Wednesday. She will speak on “World Peace and the Relations To- ward It in the Treatles of France and Italy snd Present Conditions in India.” Mrs. N. M. Pollock, District president, panied by Mrs. Joseph W. Milburn. The union will have as guests several members from the Enterprise Union, & group of younger women recerly or- ganized in Tekoma Park. Luncheon will be at 12:45 o'clock. Cleveland Park Union gave a party March 13 for the family at the Home for Incurables. Rev. George L. Farn- ham of the Community Church recited Scripture verses, prayea and ister gave readings. Mrs. Margaret Morgan Harry sang and played. Assisted by Mrs. Wen- dell P. Barrows, she led all preseni = singing old songs and hymns. Mrs. Ross J. Rudd entertained with stories. The same day this committee carried cakes and cookies to the boys at Mount Alto Hospital. This union will meet Monday at 2 o'clock in the home of its president, Mrs. William Peters, 3400 Macomb street. ‘She will be assisted by Mrs. A. L. Talbott, Mrs. H. N. Scruggs and Mrs. A. B. McManus. Mrs. Charles Bair will speak. Gospel Mission Union met at 218 John Marshall place. Mis. H. V. Pren- tice, president, presided. After a song and prayer service the meeting was given over to Northwest Union. Mrs. George A. Ross, the president, had Mrs. Garner as leader of entertainment and Mrs. J. H. Thomas conducted the de- votions. Mrs. Grover Updyke and Miss Dora Payne sang, with Mrs. Thomas at the piano. Mrs. Burton gave a humor- ous selection. Mrs. Ross made an ad- dress.
