WELLINGTON, New Zealand, Feb- wary 26—More than 180 persons were killed in the Ba and Singatoka dis- tricts of the Fiji Islands in the worst hurricane and floods there in recent years, members of the crew of a Rov- ernment ship reported on their arrival at Suva, Fiji Islands. The hurricane, which occurred a few days ago, was reported to have blown & train off the rails at Lautoka, caus- ing mank casualties. Leaving Bolling Field at 6:30 o'clock | yesterday morning, Capt. Eaker landed at Langiey Field, Hampton, Va., at 7:15 o'clock. He spent an hour at Langley, taking off at 8:15 am. At 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon he was in Wichita, according to a wire received at Bolling | Field last night. 1t is not known here whether Capt. | # Eaker made any stops between Langley and Wichita or precisely what route he followed, 50 an estimate of his average speed for the flight could not be made.
