KANSAS CITY, February 23.—Rain, which started early Saturday in West- ern Kansas and Oklahoma, centered over Missouri last night and apparently was moving north and east into the drought-stricken corn areas of the Mid- west. The Kansas City office of the Weather Bureau also recorded rain in Nebraska and at several Kansas points. Little or no moisture was reported in Towa, but rain was expected to reach the corn lands there by today. The sun shone in Oklahoma; Texas reported no unusual weather, but snow seemed general over Colorado, depths in some places which make traffic dangerous. The snowfall, which began in Colorado Friday night, was the first major precipitation in the State in more than two and one-half months, Goodland, near the Colorado line, re- ported the heaviest precipitation today in Kansas, .80 inch. A general snowfall was reported in Transcontinental airmail _schedules were being maintained through the Rocky Mountain region. - Former Head of Korea Freed. TOKIO, February 23 (#).—Gen.
