TRENDS IN MUSIC FEATURE ON WMAL 0ld Classics and Modern Music to Be Played by Barlow’s Orchestra. Trends in music from the conserva- $ive classics of several centuries ago to the modern music of today will be re- viewed in sweeping fashion by Howard Barlow's Symphony Orchestra in its concert tonight over WMAL and a net- work of other Cdlumbia Broadcasting Bystem stations. Barlow will start the program with & representative sclection from the clas- sic school, Beethoven's overture “Cori- olanus.” The romantic school of Brahms will follow with his “Hungarian Dance No. 6" and the review of music will progress Wagner's “Rhine Jour- ney,” and the folk music of Greig to the colorful march from Borodin's “Prince Igor.” Playhouse Program 10:30.
