ATLANTA, August 22 (#).— Pred Falir, condemned slayer of a policeman, and Sam Aiken, under sentence of death for the killing of his wife and her alleged lover, sawed their was to freedom last night from a cell in which they had apem recent months together reading aloud and discussing the Bible. Officers said the pair sawed out two cell bars, slipped down a 15-foot rope made of blankets, crossed a court yard and climbed a 25-foot outer wall with & ladder. Nine hacksaw. blades were found in the cell. Nearby prisoners professed to have no knowledge of the escape. Bheflfl Jlmes I. Lowry said the men were not allowed visitors and that he would investigate the presence of the hacksaw blades. The escape was discovered by a jailer while on a regular two-hour inspection.
