Police could offer no reason for en- mity between Courchere and Mulcahy, but said that the Plumbers' Union had often used ‘“sfrohg-atm” methods to intiinidate plumbing firms. Alderman Arthur F. Albert and Edgar Cook, couri§sl for the Plumbers’ Union, sald that Muleahy had a reputation as “one of the few honest labor leaders in Chicagg,” and that Mulcahy and Ruberry had complained to State’s At- torney Jolih A.
