Engineers Expect Work Will Be Completed in Three Weeks, By the Associated Press YORKTOWN, Va, August 13- Government_engineers started survey- . ing here yesterday for the National Co- lonial Monument area, including York- town, Williamsburg and Jamestown, created by the last session of Congress Engineers from the topographical branch of the United State Geological Survey of the Department of the In- terior, making the survey over an area of five square miles, said three weeks would be required for completion of the work The survey is being made preliminary to the arrival of topographers, who will | map the area. The map is to be used by local, State and national committees reparing for the sesquicentennial cele- ration of Cornwallis' surrender, to be held next year. While the survey is being made over five square miles here, no indication | was given as to the Yorktown area to | be included in the monument, although It is limited to 2.500 acres.
