Intimate knowledge of the Nation's waterways gained by Lieut. Gen. Edgar Jadwin as chief of Army Engineers is responsible for his selection by Presi- dent Hoover to head the President’s new Power Commission. Gen. Jadwin retired a few months ago from the post, in which he super- | vised the development of waterways and | worked out the Mississippi flood control program. 1 Gen.
