Frank Goldsborough, 19 years old, holder of the transcontinental airplane record for junior pilots, landed at Hoover Field at 10:10 o'clock this morning to begin a three-month tour of the Nation. His visit here was under the auspices of the Washington Exchange Club, Lieut. Walter Hinton, president, which arranged for him to be received by President Hoover at the White House &t 12:30 p.m. Goldsborough was the est of the local club at a luncheon in e Carlton Hotel at 1 o'clock. The youth flew here from Wilming- ton, Del, where he was forced down ‘by heavy rain yesterday afternoon, in the Kinner-motored fleet training plane American Boy, in which he established the transcontinental record.
