The executive committee of the Min- isters' Interdenominational Alliance of Washington and vicinity, a group rep- resenting the colored pastors of all de- nominations in the Washington area, forwarded a letter to Gov. Bibb Graves of Alabama yesterday, urging the execu~ tive to “insure protection” to sentative Oscar De Priest when the col- ored member of Congress from Illinols visits that State in the near future, Rev. Robert W. Brooks, pastor of the Lincoln Congregational Temple, who is president of the alllance, announced that copies of the letter would be fore warded to the mayor of Birmingham and to Speaker Longworth of the House of Representatives. The phraseology of the letter was agreed upon by the ex- ecutive committee at a mesting this morning. The text was announced by Rev.
