NEW YORK, May 19.—The economic policy commission of the American Bankers’ Assoclation, in a report made public yesterday, said that serious eco- nomic disadvantages, especially the danger of inflation, would follow adoption of current proposals almed at making it easier for members of the Federal Reserve Bank system to borrow from their Reserve banks. ‘The commission said the proposals ‘were offered as a remedy for the diffi- culties from which many banks suffer a8 a result of great shrinkages in re- cent years in credit instruments eligible for rediscounting or borrowing.
