Inability to cope with heart and kid- ney disorders led attaches of the hos- pital to issue a call for volunteers to give blood as the Carlo family was not financially able to pay for assistance. In answer to the request, Ruth Anna Neiss, 15-year-old Hine Junior High School student appeared at the hos- pital and was selected as a donor with- out the knowledge of her family. Despite a momentary rally after the transfusion, the child suffered a re- lapse, dying at 10:30 o'clock. She had been {ll two months.
