COOKE, 73, IS CLAIMED BY DEATH Deceased Was Noted Forest and Mining Engineer and Politician. George Whitney Cooke, for many years engaged in civil and mining engineer- died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank M. Newberry, 6215 Thirty-second place, Saturday after an illness of two months. He was 73 years old. Mr. Cooke had done extensive forest and mining surveys in Western Penn- sylvania, Virginia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
