The new Children’s Cotntry Home is to be erected on a large wooded site at the intersection of Bunker Hill road and Eighteenth street northeast, one of two possible locations for the institution which were considered at the last zon- ing hearing. Permit for the new structure, which is to cost approximately $90,000, has been issued by the District building inspector. The bullding was designed by Wyeth & Sullivan, Washington architects. R. W. Bolling is the builder. The bullding will be of whitewashed brick, with high slate Toof, bold chim- neys and a rather irregular outline, re- calling the architecture of the Norman | farmhouse or manor house. Accommo- dations will be provided for 50 children. The orientation of the building has been carefully studied to provide the maxumum light and fresh air.
