SUNDAY SCHOOL SESSION SLATED Annual Convention to Be Held November 4, 5 and 6 in New Memorial Building. The annual conventjon of the Sun- day School Council of Religious Educa- tion will be held November 4, 5 and 6 in the new Samuel Harrison Greene Memorial Building of Calvary Baptist Church, Eighth and H streets. Plans for the convention were map- ped out at a meeting of the executive | committee of the council at the Young Men's Christian Association this week. Dr. Homer J. Councilor, president of the Sunday School Council, will pre- side at all the sessions. He will be as- sisted in the program by the past presi- dents of the council, W. W. Millan, E. H. DeGrott, jr.; Norton M. Little and John E, Dawson. William R. Schmucker of Hamline Methodist Episcopal Church will be the song leader for the entire convention. ‘The program in a general way will consist of group conferences for the several departments of the Sunday school, which will include the home, cradle’ roll, beginners, primary, junior, senfor and intermediate, young people’s and adult departments, as well as & conference period for the administra- tive officers. These conferences will be led by experts in their respective de- partments, Inspiar tional addresses will be given each night by leaders in re- ligious education and a dinner will be held for all the Sunday school super- intendents and their administrative officers on one of the evenings of the convention. ‘The outstanding feature of the pro- gram for the first night will be an in- spection tour of the Samuel Harrison Greene Memorial Building which has Jjust recently been erected and dedi- cated by the Calvary Baptist Church. ‘The leaders of the several departments of the Calvary Baptist Sunday School will act as hosts for the convention. ‘The District of Columbia Sunday Bchool Council of Religious Education is affliated with the International Council of Religious Education, with hud?lllmfl at Chicago. The council formerly the District of Columbia Sunday School Association and is in- terdenominational in character, being &mfid by representatives of all the denominations. The Senior Federation met Tuesday at Temple Church. A feature of the munm was a tour of the West given pictures and illustrated by Miss Haney, with Mrs. Boyer assisting. The B. Y. P. U. Federation mixed quartet gave several selections. The rules were iven out for the eampaign that starts lovember 1. Centennial Church union entertained the Intermediate Federation last night.
