McCormick, 72 years old, former resident of Brookland, died in Omaha, Nebr, FPriday. Funeral services will be conducted at Gawler's Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Rock Creek Ceme- Mrs. McCormick's husband, the late Frank 1. McCormick, was an attorney. She is survived by her son, Bradley T. McCormick of St. Louis, and two sisters, Miss Grace M. Thomas of Omaha, Nebr., and Mrs. W. J. Herdman of Scotland. Mrs. McCormick resided here until 1902 and was herg for a brief while during the World® War. EDWARD HUNTER Retired Army Officer Died at Home at Mount Vernon, N. Y., Saturday. Col. Edward Hunter, U. 8. A, re- tired, died at his home in Mount Ver- non, N. Y., Saturday, and his body will be brought to this city for burial in the Arlington National Cemetery, prob- ably tomorrow afternoon. Funeral serv- ices were held this efternoon at the Church of the Ascension at Mount Vernon. He was 90 years old. Born at Gardiner, Me., November 22, 1839, Col. Hunter became a member of the bar and prdcticed in California and Washington. In June, 1865, he was graduated from the West Point Military Academy and appointed a sec- ond Meutenant of the 12th Infantry, He was transferred to the 1st Cavalry as a first lieutenant in February, 1870, and took part in many engegements against hostile Indians in the West and Southwest. In December, 1888, he was transferred to the judge advocate gen- eral's department and was retired for age in November, 1903, in the grade of colonel.
