16 ESCAPE AS SHIP IS WRECKED IN FOG Norwegian Freighter Driven Ashore on Newfoundland Coast Is Total Loss. By the Assoclated Press. ST. JOHNS, Newfoundland, Septem- ber 2.—The Ole Aarvold, a Norwegian freighter, was driven ashore off Cape Pine during a dense fog early yesterday and totally wrecked. Capt. Ueilson and the crew of 16 men escaped in small boats. The Aarvold was an 842-ton_steel freighter, built in 1919, and was bound to Harbor Buffett, Plancita Bay, to load codfish for Meriterranean ports.
