CERMANY GREETS WORLD ADHEADS Berlin Welcomes Delegates| to Congress, Due to Open Tomorrow. By the Associated Press. BERLIN, August 10—One of the| latest and most convineing signs of the} much talked of “Americanization of| Furope” was the spectacular reception | arranged here today for the premini-| nary meeting of the World Advertising | Congress, which opens here Monday. Special trains, special reception com- mittees, bands, banquets, decoraied railroad- stations were all part of the welcome staged by Berlin's city gov- ernment and business leaders for the 5.000 delegates,. most of whom reached the city today, and 1,000 of whom aie Americans. BRENIZER DIES AT AGE OF 92 | Oldest Active Federal Worker Wat Retired About Year Ago. Dead at 92 l ‘Warren F. Brenizer, oldest active em- ploye of the Government in Washing- ton ut the time of his retirement about a year ago, died in his ninety-second year Friday at his residence, 627 A street southeast. After passing the civil service retirement age he was continued on_ active duty three times by special order of the Secretary of War “in the interest of the service.” For several years before his rctire- ment there was only one man, so far as | known, in the Government service any- | where in the world who was older than Mr. Brenizer. That was Col. Elmer B. Cope, superintendent of the Gettysburg National Park, who died about a year ago. Until his retirement Mr. Brenizer was in charge of cabinet and other wood- work at the Army Medical Library and Museum in the Smithsonian grounds. His health remained good until a week ago, when he began to show signs of the heart weakness which resulted in his death. . Mr. Brenjzer was born at Harris- burg, Pa., December 27, 1837.
