MARKET Business Reported Dull by Merchants at Local Whoie- sale Market. : Marketmen and commission mer- chants all over the city suffered great losses curing the past weok, they re- ported today. Disappointment was expressed in but- ter, egg and poultry sales for the holi- days. A brisk trade had been expected 2nd dealers ordered a large. stock of goods, but business was slow, due to| cautious buying. One dealer stated that most of the <¢ity’s money must have gone toward the purchasing of Easter frocks and suits. Inclement weather is thought to have | much to do with the business slump. For the week ending Saturday, April 6, check payments increased over both the preceding week and the same period last year, says the Department of Commerce.
