COURT DIES; RETIRED ENGINEER Inventor of Three-Arm Pro- tractor Succumbs at Age of 84. Emil E. Court, 84 years old, retired civil engineer of the hydrographic office, United Stafes Navy Department, and widely known as the inventor of a three-arm protractor used in the various branches of the military service in locating chart points, died at the residence of his son, Edward J. Court, 1723 Newton streef, late Wednesday n\ght after a short 1llness, as a native of Germany -md was at nnp time captain in the German army. He was a graduate of Heidelberg University, Germany. He had been a resident of this city for the past 54 years and was retired about 20 ybars ago. He was a member of Arminius Lodge of Masons and of Mount Vernon Chap- ter, Royal Arch Masons.
