Ave, Chief Examiner and Appeals Board Member of Patent Office Suc- cumbs at 67. Edwin S. Henry, 67 years old, a chief examiner of the United States Patent Office and a member of the Board of Patent Appeals, died in Garfield Hospi- tal yesterday following an operation. Mr. Henry was a native of Pennsyl- vania and was educated at Lebanon, Ohio, and at George Washington Uni- versity, having been graduated in law from the latter institution. He came to this city in 1887 and became affiliated j with the Patent Office as an_assistant examiner. He became a chief in 1900, and held that position until his death. He was a member of the Columbia Country Club and the Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. Henry is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary C. Henry, and a son, Edwin S. Henry, ir., of Phiiadelphia. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence, 1320 Columbia road, to- morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev.
