ROCKVILLE, Md., December 13.— Edward Cornelius Stubbs, for more than forty years and until a few years ago chief engineer on the Senate side of the United States Capitol, Washington, and life-long resident of the lower sec- tion of the county, died yesterday at his home near Wheaton, aged 78 years. His death followed a long illness of a complication of diseases. He is sur- vived by his widow, formerly Miss Clara Hardy of this county, and two daugh- ters by a former marriage, Mrs. Marie Holmead and Mrs. W. O. Culver, both of the lower section of the county. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Clarks and Miss Rose Stubbs of Wheaton district. Mr. Stubbs’ first wife, who died many years ago, was a Miss Prather. Funeral services will be held tomor- row at St. John's Catholic Church, Forest Glen, burial to be in St. John's Cemetery. Marniage Licenses.
