After funeral services at his home tomorrow his body will be taken to Washington for interment. By the Associated Press. 1 LOS ANGELES, November 26.—Dr. Charles Fletcher Lummis, 69, author, explorer and historian, died at his home | here yesterday of cancer. Dr. Lummis also was a_poet and only recently had_completed his latest vol- ume, titled “Bronco Pegasus.” Knowing that the end was ncar, he worked at top speed to complete the book of his life poems. During his career Dr. Lummis served as city editor of the Los Angeles Times, public librarian of Los Angeles and was one of the founders of the Southwest Muscum. His books on the history of Spanish America have been _widely read both here and abroad. He ex- plored the wilds of Peru and Bolivia, returning to Los Angeles in 1894. Born in Lynn, Mass..
