MISSION FOUNDING 10 BE CELEBRATED ng Rescue Workers and Churches to Honor 44th Anniversary. Washington churches of 15 denomi- | nations and visiting rescue mission superintendents from 10 cities will unite | tonight and tomorrow in celebrating the fourty-fourth anniversary of the founding of the Central Union Mission, commonly called “the mission of the churches,” of Washington, of which John S. Bennett is superintend:nt. At a banguet in the Lee House to- night at 6:50 o'clock, at which E. H. De Groot, jr., president of the Central Union Mission’s board of directors, will preside, pastors from the local churches the mission representatives will speak for the different denominations. William Knowles Cooper, executive secretary of the Y. M. C. A, will make an address, and 15 mission officials, including Fred Becker of Milwaukee, president of the International Union of Missions, and E. Paul of Minneapolis, former president, will be guests of honor. Following the banquet, the mission will hold its annual meeting to receive re- ports of the year's work and to fill any vacancies in the list of officers rep- ntsennng the different churches of the city.
