First prize for the best flowers at tho' Fall flower show of the Potomac Pali- sades Landscape and Garden Club, held last night at the Potomac Heights Com- munity Church. on Cathedral avenue, with 47 exhibitors competing, was awarded to Mrs. E. C. Rittue of 5206 Sherrier place, who exhibited two un- usual specimens of the Jersey Beauty dahlia. Dahlias, roses, zinnias and many rare specimens of other flowers were included imong the exhibitions. which was judged by Peter Bisset of the United States De- partment of Agriculture. Howell, 48, superintendent of the Keenc-Woolf Refinery at Clinton, crumpled to the floor of his home while listening to the Dixie series returns over the radio Monday and died before medical aid could be reached.
