He was a pro- fessor in the Fairmont Seminary of Texas. where he graduated with the R A degree. He later graduated at| the McCormick Seminary of Chicaxo in the class of 1912, and subsequently | was in the pastorate of First Preshy- terian Church of Austin, Tex., and &t Beatrice, Nebr., until 1817, when| he served in the World War. He was in France one and a half vears in complete charge of a sector of T. M. C. A. work, and upon his re- turn to the United States was region- a1 director for the entire Southwesi of- the Inner-Church World Move: ment. Dr. Patterson had a successful pas- torate in the Church of Minneapolis prior to taking charge of the church at Albert Lea, Minn. He is not only regarded as an able minister, but an organizer and worker in young peo- Pple's conferences and in the Sunday school. He is considered conserva. tive in his theology and a pr cher of the svangelistic tvpe. He has a wife and two children. Mrs. Patterson is A singer and active in Sunday school work.
