CONGRESS HEIGHTS OFFICERS ELECTED Rev. E. E. Richardson Re- named by Citizens—Pigs Bring Protest. . Richardson was re-elect Citizens' Assoeiation for his fitth con- secutive term at a meeting in the Congress Heights Baptist Church last night. J. Louis Gelbman was re-elect- nd Gustave Bender re- rer. Other officers elected were: George B. Stevens, first vice presidnt: Arthur Eno, second vice president; Mr. Gelb- man and E. J. Newcomb, delegates to the Federation of Citizens’ Asso- ciations, and C. G. Hultgren, trustee, dopted a resolution on of C v nt of the Congress Heights|a Asociations to work for local suffrage rather than just national representa- tion for the District of Columbia. The Federation also was requested in a resolution to seek legisiation which would give more power to the District superintendent of insurance in regulating fire insurance rates and adjusting . claims. A further request was made of the federation to seek the construc- tion of a reservolr in the Congress Heights section. President Richardson was author- ized to appoint a committee to con- fer with the superintendent of St. Eliz- abeth’s Hospital, Dr. W. A. White, to request him to remove pigs from a lot adjoining Alabama avenue.
