National Press Building Teleghone Secretaries Will Receive Messages for Absent Tenants SI CRETARIAL SERVICE on a twenty-four- hour basis is furnished to each tenant of the National Press Building without charge. This service is equivalent to an attendant in yonr office day and night. Each tenant will have the usual inde pendent tele- phone, bt when a switch is thrownall calls, both local and long distance, will be trans- ferred to the Secretarial Service. Here, day and night, all messages will be taken and, if desired, relayed to the tenant. This service, the first of its kind, is one of the many innovations for the comfort and convenience of the tenants of the National Press Building. This structure is now virtually completed and the public is cordially invited to inspect the building and view its distinctive innova- tions for the converfience, comfort and safety of its tenants. While much of the rentable area, both for stores and offices, has heen com- mitted, store spaces are available on hoth Fourteenth and F Streets and single and en suite offices may be had at excellent locations. The rental rates of the National Press Build- ing compare favorably with other modern office buildings. Rooms are available for from $30 to $90 a month. Liberal discounts are allowed on long leases and on multiple rooms. Stores have been leased to nationally known con- cerns desiring the most prominent Washing- ton representation obtainable. Express Elevators of Latest Type LEVATORS are perhaps the most important features in any building, and the National Press Building, in this facility, is supreme in Washington. There are seven large passenger elevators of the latest and best equipment for speed, comfort and safety. These elevators ar under automatic trol. Elevator start- ers are in charge day and night and the elevators are capable of being dispatched with express train precision. Fresh ur is continuously drawn in from above the building with gigantic fans located high above the roof. These will he available to hoth men and women tenants with- out extra harge, except or the lock- 'rs. There will "e a valet ervice, which vill keep all & lothes cleaned and pressed, linen laun- dered, shoes shined and every garment left in locker ready for use. These shower rooms are under forced ventilation, have windows to the open air and are lined with tile and marble. The National Press Building is the first build- ing in this country to offer on a wholesale plan this very valuable service. The lockers are sufficiently large for the tenant to keep therein dress suits, golf togs and other changes that he may desire to make. The lockers will be kept constantly fure nished with towel and soap. Combs and brushes left in the lockers will be kept clean and ready for use. There will be a large and comprehensive law library and volumes for this library will he se- lected by an 2minent com- mittee of | lawyers. This | library will be kept con stantly up to date. Stenographers will be furnished at reasonable rates. These libraries and reading rooms are ideally located for light and ventilation and will offer to the tenants of the National Press Building oppor- tunity for quiet thought and work.
