Great Britain has entered planes in the forthcoming event and before the Aero Club of Italy, promoters of contest by virtue of an ast year, can take ac- | tion on the request, the British en- trants must be consulted. Should the British team, because of tremendous expense involved in main- tenance or for other reasons, object to a postponement, the attache said such objection might result in pre- venting delay. On the other hand, he | thought, if there was an objection | from either country on the proposal, the matter might be submitted to the Federation Aeronautique Internation- ale, world governing body for aircraft performances, for final decision. When the National Aeronautic As- sociation proposed a postponement, it was _supported enthusiastically by Comdr. Scaroni and he even communi- cated such an indorsement to his gov- ernment. OFFICER RE.F;RIMANDED. Lieut. Pierson Accused of Acting Without Good Judgment. Lieut. J. W. Pierson of the twelfth police precinct was reprimanded yves- terday by Inspector Charles A. Evans, acting _superintendent of police, for “lack of good judgment” as a result of a complaint by Walter G. O Ban- non, 325 E street northeast, whose son was killed by an automobile in Catholic University grounds in June. Mr. O'Bannon charged that he was treated in a curt manner by Lieut. Pierson when he went to the precinct to inquire as to the details of the ac- cident. An investigation of the com- plaint was made by Inspector L. J. Stoll, who recommend that the police lieutenant be reprimanded. YOUR EYES ARE PRICELESS PROTECT THEM ezl Yo e . A.Leese OPTICAI. 00.
