A short time ago in a public statement he declared that there are more than 2,000 lepers in the United States and only half of these are re- ceiving proper medical treatment or bave half a chance for recovery. North Carolina to Take Early. RALEIGH, N. C, July 12 (®.— Siu!e Board of Health offiuah are red to take North Carolina’s leper John Early, should he return to_this State. By the Associated Press. SEATTLE, Wash,, July 12.—A cor- oner’s jury yeslerda} found that O. H. Johnson, pilot of an airplane which crashed into Lake Washington July 5, and his three passengers came to their deaths because of the intoxi- cated condition of the passengers. The verdict declared the evidence showed the passengers were intoxi- cated, and condemned the practice of allowing an ascent of planes with passengers under the influence of liquor. The jury found the pilot *so- r and competent” and recommend- ed that the State of Washington pass laws governing aeronautic navigation. The three passengers killed were Roy Wolin, Fred Stancliff and John 1. Boch.
