He had been ill a week. A life-long resident of Washington, Mr. Leonhardt conducted the electri- cal business bearing his name st 1108 New York avenue for about 35 years. He was president of the council of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Eighth and B streets southwest, and was active in church work. Mrs. Jeannle Kafka, 60 years old, widow of Albert Kafka and prominent in local business circles, died yester day at her residence, 3736 Huntington street. She was born in Cinoinnati and had resided here for the past 25 years. She conducted a clothing establish- ment at 941 F street. Mrs. Kafka was a director of the Citizens’ Savings Bank and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Soroptimist Club and Women's City Club. She is survived by a son, Maurice Kafka; three sisters, Mrs. Walter C. Brashears and Mrs. Willlam P. Cheatly of this city and Mrs. William H. MRS. J. C. RANSOM DIES. Succumbs at Home Here Following Strokes of Apoplexy. Mrs. Martha Snow Ransom, 65 years old, wife of J. C. Ransom, died at her residence, 3416 R street, early yesterday morning. She had recently suffered two strokes of apoplexy. Mrs, Ransom had been a resident of ‘Washington for about 25 years, ha ing moved here from Baltimore. She was well known here as an instructor in reed weaving and basketry. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Henry C. Ransom, Ar- lington, Va.; Dr. Clarence A. Ransom, Falls Church, Va.; Philip M. Ransom, this city, and Samuel J. Ransom, Frederick, Md.
