COOLIDGE will attend the coneert this afterncen in Poli's Theater when Miss Marion Talley will he heard tn_recital. She will be ac cempanied by several muests. Mrs. Coolidge received the hoard of diretors of the General Federation of Waomen's Clubs at noon teday. Mra. Kellogg. wife of the Secretary of State, will be the guest of Mrs Jaceb L. Loose in her boy this after- neon at the recital to he given by Marlon Talley, soprano. Other guests of Mra. Laose will be Mrs. Jardine, wife of the Secretary of Agrieulture; Mrs. James R. The reception given last evening at the White House by President and Mra. Coelidge to the judiciary made on unusually interesting sceme. The company of more than 2000 guests included, in addition to members of the bench and their families, offcers of various branches of military serv ice, chiefs of the depariments and many eivilians. Quite conspicuous was the presencs of many hastesses of Supreme Court circles of other vears, Mrs, Mahlon Pitney and Mrs. Rufu Day greeted many old friends, thi being the first reception Mrs, Pitne: has attended since the death of the late Associate Justice Pitney. Mrs, Kellogg wore a handsome and becoming gown of dark blue vel vet and lace, gracefully draped, an arl ornaments. Mrs. Dwight F. Da Vis was in a metal cloth robe, which made on straight lines, with draperies of chiffon in the same shade. Mrs. Hoaver wore mauve ehiffon embroid ered in silver, and Mrs. James J. Da vis had a smart gown of black velvet trimmed with rhinestones. Mrs. San ders wora flesh celor chiffon embroid ered in erystals and a diamnod band in_her hair The Chief Justice and former Presi {dent and Mrs. Taft were the first to he received. the former standing and chatting with his hosts for several | seconds. Miss Suzette Dewey was in vellow chiffon vith a Jarge single rose at the left shoulder. Mrs. Wade Ellis was in Valencia bluye crepe embroid- ered.in pearls and rhinestones, Capt. Sayres L.
