More than a half million pounds were on the auction floors. The better grades are expected on the market during the next 10 days, however, as the executive committee has voted to close the market on De- cember 17 for the Christmas holidays. It will reopen January 4. Sales yesterday were 811,350 pounds, which averaged $22.12 a hundred.
