The meeting was opened by a game of “fox and goose.” Pa- trol corners followed, then the “horse- shoe formation.” Four girls were in- vested as Scouts. Holly Troop, No. 10, Miss Hasel Scanlan, captain, met Saturday morn- ing. While some of the girls were passing part of their second-class test others palyed nature games. In pa trol corners the girls discussed a Thanksgiving party to be given for the mothers of the Soouts. Some practiced signaling, compass, judgin distances, ete. A knot-tying relay tol lowed, patrol No. 8 winning. Troop No. 11 met in the Sherwood Church November 17. . Perry, captain, opened the meeting, with the troop in horseshoe formation. After inspecticn, patrol corners and “indoor hike,” the purpose of which was to stimulate observation, and was won by the Saratoga and Swastika patrols, classes followed, with Mrs. Perry in structing the tenderfoot candidates, and the rest of the troop under Mrs. Dowling. Althea Hull and Hortense Cusack played “Washington Crossing tho Delaware,” with the girls who were working on second class. Troop No. 12, Miss Adah Bagby, captain, met at Lleut. Stuart Gibson's home Friday night. Patrol No. 2 re- celved a point for the best song, com- posed to the tune of “Taps.” One group of girls worked on first class, while others worked on tenderfoot and second class. Miss Gibson served orangeade and cookles. Lieut. Kimbel W sistant hostess Falls Church Troop, No. 18, met recently at the Parish Hall. Capt. Bonell announced patrol leaders as follows: Ellen Anderson, No. 1; Mar garet Cousins, No. 2. Patrol corners were held and names chossn—Scresch Owl and Crocus. The following week the troop hed a treasure hunt, to which Troop No. 28 wus Invited. The trail began at the Parish Hall and ended at Upton Station. The treasurs, a box of candy, was found by Jane Cline, Mary Fell, Valerle Wheeler and Ellen Anderson. A picnic supper was held In a nearby woods, and later Troop 23 returned to town on the trolly and Troop No. 13 followed the rallroad tles home. Troop No. 17 met November 17 in the Wallach School. After the regu- lar exerclses they formed two patrols and planned a hike.
