NTESTINAL STASIS, say famous specialists, afflicts three people out of every four! That statement might mean little to the average man or woman if it were not for one startling fact. It is this. Recent medical discoveries show that most cases of gas bloating, sour stomach and indigestion are due to just that one cause—Intestinal Stasis. Intestinal Stasis MPROPER food, lack of exer- cise and other faults of modern life are the cause of this insidious disease. In everyday language Intestinal Stasis means the too slow movement of waste food matter through the intestines or bowels. By staying too long in the body, this matter ferments, gives off gas, hinders digestion and poisons the whole system. Even if the bowels move daily, enough old matter is often left to form gas, causing bloating, gas pains, sleeplessness and nervous- ness. Ordinary laxatives or soda or magnesia may give temporary relief—but that is all. Intestinal Stasis and Gas can be relieved per- manently only by continued, REAL intestinal cleansing. Stops Gas Quickly R. CARL WESCHCKE, in his private practice, first used the bowel cleanser and intestinal rophylactic now known as Adler- fn It is a compound of the best saline intestinal evacuant with vegetable buckthom.and cascara, together with glycerine and oz}ger gas-expelling and detergent ele- ments. Unlike other medicines, Adlerika acts upon BOTH upper and lower bowel. g o The first effect of Adlerika is to relieve gas on the stomach and gas bloating. Often just ONE sp«'mgt ful brings out a surprising amou: of old pojsopous waste matter a S ‘ s gt o™ VW ATCH the bubbles coming to che top of the water along the edges of a pond. They're caused by gas iven off by decaying matter at the gottom of the pond. In much the same way, waste food matter in the_ intes~ tines, ferments and gives of ‘gas, causing bloating and lndigestion. O which you never guessed was in your system and which may have been the hidden cause of indiges- tion, nervous dyspepsia, headache, sleeplessness, Adlerika is not a cure-all, In cases_of gastric ulcers or deep- seated organic trouble, a good phy- sician should be consulted. But if your trouble is due to Intestinal Stasis (as many stomach and bowel disorders are), Adlerika gives sur- prisingly quick relief. Even if your bowels move daily, you'll be sur- prised at the amount of additional matter Adlerika often brings out— and how much better you'll feel after taking it. Sold by 39,000 druggists. “I have found Adlerika to be far superior in bowel and stomach trouble. It is the best in my eatire 37 years experience.”’—Dr. G. Eggers.
