By the Associated Press. PALO ALTO, Calif., September 18. —Man'’s nearest approach to the elec- tric pressure of lightning has been at- tained in the new Leland Stanford University Laboratory here with the successful testing of six huge trans- formers generating rhore than 2,100,- 000 volts.
