—— o — (. NAVY BAN Special Concert, With Other "Attractions, Scheduled in Program Tonight. The United States Navy Band Orchestra, directed by Lieut. Charles Benter, will play a special radio con eert, for the audience of station WRC tonight. The concert will be present ed in the studios of "WRC, beginning at 7:30 o'clock, and will he relayed through WJZ for joint broadcasting. The remainder of WRC's evening program will he featured by the re- turn.on the air of two-radio favoriter —Margaret Buchanan Yedtes, who will resume her storles of “Esam. and Hazel Arth, Washington con tralto, who will be heard in a recital, with George F. Ross at the piano. Author of Stories. Mre. Yeates is remembered by radio fans for a number of her own stories written and told for the radio audience 1abt year. Her story this evening is entitied “Esam Plays Cupid.” and will be told beginhing at 8:55 o'clock. Other Washington contributions to the evening broadcasting will be 2 dinner concert by Irving Boernstein's Hotel Washington Orchestra: the Kitt Hour of Musle, and an organ recital by Otto F. Beck. to be playved at Crandall’s Tivoli Theater. The only outside feature on WRC's program will be the hour of dance music to be plaved by Freddie Rich and his Hotel Astor Orchestra. which will be broadcast jointly with WJZ from the Hotel Astor, New York City. Ball Game “Play by Play. This afternoon, beginning at 1:30 e'clock, a play-by-play account of the Washington-Cleveland double-header hase ball game will be broadcast from the studios of the Washington Times Herald. The evening program will be opened at 6:40 with a Bible talk by Dr. Charles B. Campbell, teache of the men's Bible class, Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a sports resume at 6:55. .
