Here and there throughout the list new high prices were reached and in a number of cases the old highs were equaled. The newly offered New England Telephone and Telegraph 4%s. the second utility bond to be marketed since the war with so low a coupon rate, again sold at a premium over the offering price. Kings County Electric Light and Power purchase money 6s, a gllt edge utility bond, and one of the few entirely non-callable, made a new high for the vear. Oil bonds. as a class. wera well sup ported. The setback in Sinclair 6s was due to the announcement that a part of the issue would be retired Poland $s sold down again to their previous low. For the most of the day, however, transactions were not on as large a scale as earlier in the week. Italian s at one time were down a half point. The South American list was better supported.
