Company Plans Perform- ance April 15 as Tribute to t Jacques Samassoud [ i The Washington Opera Co. as a tribute to the devotion and ability of Jacques Samassoud, conductor, whose | excellent work has raised the per formances of the company to a high level artistically, will give “Pagliaccl and the “Secret of Suzanne” as a dou ble bill on April 15 in a conplimentary performance to Samassoud The mastery with which the score ¢ “Lohengrin” was read and the or chestra and singers correlated has brought much praise for the conductor and a demand for a symphonic pro gr by his orchestra, It is not practical to give the symphonic pro- gram this season and the company will give the double opera bill instead Patronage Is Assured.
