Two slices of ordinary Irish potato and a dish of gelatin are responsible. As a lahoratory experiment one of the students—a hoy—was asked to kiss a slice of potato. This potato was then interned under an airtight glass dish. Several days later the students examined it. Four different kinds of molds were found. They were de- scribed as the kinds of mold found on jellies and old shoes, and there were several colonies of red, vellow, white and purple bacteria. The instructor explained that the “‘pencillium” spore in the kiss had | played havoc with the potato. hen a powder puff was borrowed from one of the coeds. It was dusted on another slice of potato. Six of mold as well as numerous bact appeared on the potato a few days later. A pencil point was touched to a piece of gelatin.
