KOHR RETIRED AFTER 55 YEARS’ SERVICE Chief of Personnel Division, Ad- jutant General’s Office. Leaves U. 8. Employ at 82. After nearly 60 years’ service to the Government, Harvey A. Kohr, chief of the personnel division, adjutant general's_office, has been placed on the civil service rctirement list, on his own application, on account of age. Born in York County, Pa., 2 years ago, he served clerk in the Carver General Hospital in this city in 1864-1865, and has resided here ever since. In March, 1871, he was appointed to a clerkship in the ad jutant general's office and served thera continuously until his voluntary retirement a few days age. For many years he was chief clerk of the officers’ division ognized as an authority on the laws and regulations pertaining to the commissioned personnel. Because of the value of his services he was given several extensions of two years each beyond the statutory retirement age of 70 years.
