Houghton, 97 years ©ld, died at the residence of her daugh- ter, Mrs. David White, 2812 Adams Mill road, Wednesday, after a long fliness. Bhe was born in Ipswich, an old codst town of Massachusetts. Her husband, the late Josiah P. Houghton was a well known builder of Worces- | ter, Mass. She came to this city to live after the death of her husband, more than 30 years ago. Be- cause of the serious nature of her allment, it is stated, and fearing she would recover, she gavé up her home. An aunt of the young man today appealed to the police to assist her in locating him. MINISTER DIES IN ITALIAN TOWN Henry Sherman Boutell Served in Congress From 1897 to 1911. The death from pneumonla of Henry Sherman Boutell, former Min- Ister to Switzerland, which occurred yesterday at San Remo, Italy, was reported today to the State Depart- ment. He was born in Boston, but later moved to Chicago, serving sev- eral terms in the House from that State. The body will be brought to the United States by Mrs. Boutell for burial, Mr. Boutell had been spending the Winter in San Remo on account of i1l health. He was a Republican Repre- sentative in Congress from a Chicago district and served from 1897 to 1911 President Taft appointed Mr. Bou- tell Minister of Switzerland in 1911, where he served for two years.
