The radio tourists who have bheen Wintering” in Europe will be taken to England through the medium of station WJZ Tuesday, March 9, at 10 o'clock. They have positively re- fused to return to the chilly climate | of their own land and insist upon re- maining in the warmer climes of Purope until Spring. This is the rd time that “The Grand Tour of rope” has been extended upon the request of the listening audience. The hop across the English Channel will be made in one of the modern ainschannel planes, and the radio audience will avoid the usual sea- sicknesses which generally accom- panies a trip across the stormy strait, and also avoid the slight danger which is present in the other means of getting across, the flight. The first week will be devoted to getting accustomed England before the radio audience is taken into the city of London on the week following. After landing at Croyden, the trip will include England’s great seaport, Liverpool. where the great transat- lantic liners are locked into thelr berths, and to Brighton, the watering place of British nobility. From there the radio audience will be transport- ed to the manufacturing center of the British Isles, Birmingham, and then to Romsey, with its historic ab- bey: to Winchester, the’ British_armies encamped during the World War.
