MILLER Wife of Chief Clerk of Copyright Office Was Active Church, Phil- anthropic and Fraternal Worker. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Eliza Ed- monston Miller, wife of Willlam A. Miller, chief clerk of the copyright office, Library of Congress, who died at her home, 911 Monroe street, on Monday, was conducted at the resi- dence this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. James H. Straughn, pastor of Rhode Island Avenue M. P. Church, officiating. Special music was ren- dered by a quartet composed of Rev. J. B. Judefind, pastor of Violetville M. P. Church, Baltimore; Rev. E. B. Stone, pastor of Hampden M. T. Church, Baitimore; Glenn C. Dorsey and Henry Gilligan. Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery. Born at New Baltimore, Va., August 4, 1868, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Gabriel and Mrs. Mary An Fdmonston. Mrs, Miller was married to Mr. Miller in 1889. She was an active worker in church, phil- | anthropie and fraternal circles; a_sup- porter of the leper colony, a membar of Areme Chapter, No. 10, Eastern Star; treasurer of Katherine Mont- gomery Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, and was a delegate from her church to the recent international Sunda: school convention at Glasgow, Scot- land.
