2 SECTION DEPLORES 0SS OF RESIDENTS Stanton Park Citizens Blame Realty Men’s Indiffer- ence for Moving. Blame for the lack of development and improvement in the eastern sec- tion of the city was placed on the real estate dealers of the northeast section by members of the Stanton Park Citi- zens' Assoclation at a meeting in the Peabody School, Fifth and C streets northeast, last night. Because of the indifference on the part of real estate dealers in East Washingto s the city’s substantial citizens are mov- ing to the northwest, where develop ment is along more modern lines, it was said. i Commissioner Frederick A. Fenning, in a short address, said that the citi- zens of the Stanton Park section should not be accused of unselfish mo- tives when It is noticed that they are constantly striving for improvements. When it {s considered that this com- munity is but a few blocks from the Capitol and in view of the fact also that the Capitol faces to the east, it Is but reasonable to expect that the northeast t should have streets, lights, par keepirg with proper surroundings for the Capitol. ors Discussion. MONTREAL, December 8.—"Grand- pa" Mellie Dunham, Maine's cham- pien fiddler, and “Grandma’ Dunham are well on their way to Detroit, where “Grandpa” will saw out his merl(o‘dies for the pleasure of Henry Ford. While the cost of operating the hospital has increased tenfold since its founding in 1870, the revenue from patients has also greatly in- creased, Mr. Sweeney said.
